Top Singers From Bangladesh Who Deserve A Spot On Your Playlist

When it comes to music, the language does not matter. No matter in what tongue you are spitting your emotions out if the emotions strum at the strings of others’ heart, you deserve to be heard. There are countless musicians across the globe and exploring every nook and corner of this beautiful planet for scattered pieces of musical genius will only reward you with hidden gems.

Music in Bangladesh began in the form it takes birth in most civilizations. It all started with reverence to the almighty and spiritual musings by great thinkers who transformed their questions and potential answers into music. The tradition of folklore turned in multiple directions and wherever it went, it gave birth to all different types of musical mastery.

Beginning from the pen of masters like Rabindranath Tagore, the different Ragas were addressed to the one power above all of us and the yearning to become one with him, or her, whichever way you want to picture your creator. But with time, this classical form of music developed wings and travelled into domains of music the world was beginning to get introduced.

Today, in Bangladesh, musicians from the different genre of music are making a name for themselves in the country and outside it. This is primarily owing to the fact that music and art as a whole are deeply embedded in the countries’ traditions even before it came into being in 1971.
